I would suggest getting the heads milled so that you dont give up so much compression

Go to ls2gto.com and you will find a ton of people who have done it.

I have LS3 heads on my 05 GTO. I got a used complete LS3 Intake w/injectors and rail as the LS2 vs LS3 injectors are a bit different. Also need the 8 offset rockers too. The MAP sensor port on the LS3 intake is a bit larger than the LS2 manifold, i think as well.
You can pick up many of these parts for a reasonable price in the F/S sections of the forums if you keep you keep an eye out.
What cam are you planning on running?

As delphi mentioned LS2GTO.com has a great thread in the engine section about L92 heads and info. its a sticky at the top of the section.

A concern with the LS3 heads and larger Intake valve is .050 cam duration and the possibility of the intake valve hitting the piston.
I specifically chose an LS3 grind cam because of this, as I didnt want to flycut my pistons.
When you research this swap you will see general trends of intake lift and duration figures that will work OK with the larger LS3 Intake valve.
