Default How do you remove hose bibs of gto ls2

I have a 2006 LS2 and I want to remove the water pimp hose bibs and drill and tap for 3/8ths and 1/2 pipe fittings... Got all the bits ...just looking for what makes it the easiest to remove the pressed in hose bibs.... Once you get a pair of vice grips etc on them and start mutilating them,,,,,your kinda committed

Any wisdom.....

The guys at Riddle Marine told me pretty much grab them with the vice grips and start twisting back and forth. I don't remember if heat was required, but I don't think so.

I did find this when I was searching for the same advice.

I pretty much destroyed mine getting them out, which matters not if you're gonna replace them with threaded fittings. IIRC, it helped to use a punch and beat down a spot on the nipple where it enters the pump, collapsing the nipple if you will...
