Weld a tiny brace inside the plenum to stabilize the top?

...or put a soft rubber bumper on the hood to touch the intake just like your hand is touching it.

That'd drive me mental.

Yea, me too. I think the brace is what it needs its just going to mess up the powder.

This may sound silly, but a limb saver might stop the noise (archery).

Can you hear it inside the car with the hood closed? What about at higher RPM?

What did you end up doing to fix the noise? I have the same issue.

You might not even need to wrap the top of the intake in Dynamat, just a small square of the heavy stuff in the middle might be enough. This is often done from the factory with large expanses of flat sheet metal that have resonance issues.

Default Sheet AL Intake Tech

HI ALL, most here now SOUND, possible NOT what creates that sound.

ALL here know what a speaker is, a Base Sub Woofer.

This is the poorly designed AL intake, one that "flexes" MAKING Sound Waves.

THIS item will crack/flex/fall apart.

Then your engine will "race".

Lance

Is it better to have two threads about the same problem?

Well unfortunately Mr. Beck isn't around to get it fixed, so.... either stiffen the vibrating plate or dampen it. Limb saver or dynamat or a strip of AL across the center spot.
