Default LH6 to LY5(LS1) conversion

I have an 07 Silverado with LH6 AFM. The lifter has failed me. I don't have the time to rebuild my current engine. Looking online I found a good reman LY5 that has been bored to make it a 5.7L. They say it's a ls1 conversion engine.
My question is that I have never even rebuilt an engine, but my brother in law has built old (60's and 70's) mopar and ford engines and said he would help me but doesn't know about chevy engines more or less the new computer controlled stuff. I would like a parts list so I can check off all the parts I need as I order them. I just dont want to over look a small part and have to wait for it cause I didnt know I needed something as stupid as a piston ring as an example of a part I do know I need. Please list every part in an engine as well as quantity needed. Thank You for your help.

Is the LY5 already assembled?
If so, it should almost be a drop-in.
