Default Fitting OEM LS7 intake valves to aftermarket heads

I bought a set of TFS 260s and I'm considering replacing the stainless intake valves with OEM titanium valves. For anyone who has done this...

What machining (if necessary) was required to fit the valves?
What valve springs did you use?
How long have the heads been in service and for what purposes? (DD, drag, autox, hpde, etc.)

Also somewhat related but not specific to aftermarket heads...

I've read that using lapping compound on a titanium valve is a no-no. Does anyone know why?

I believe the reason for not lapping titanium, is that the abrasive compound will embed in the valve and will continue to wear both the seat
and valve when in operation later.

FYI....diamond wheels are made the virtually the same way.
diamond dust is embedded into a bronze wheel.

I'm about 95% certain that the TFS LS7 heads use a longer custom valve, so using a shorter OM valve will ruin the rocker geometry.
