Default Exhaust design experts: low backpressure right angle box? + resonator setup

Hello all,

Having full exhaust system made for the LS2000. It's a tight fit being a smaller 2 seater.

Main issue is fitting 3" U bends or right angles in the rear of the car, to fit the dual Flowmaster 50 deltas (noise regulations). They're big mufflers.

Is it possible to take a leaf out of the flowmaster book, to build a right angle box/round section, e.g. at 4-5" diameter, so the exhaust can make a gentler right angle or U turn at low velocity, while resulting in a smaller area, than a 3" pipe U bend, while having no back pressure/flow restriction?
It seems the same principle is used in flowmaster exhausts and it works wonderfully.

The other area I'm not sure on is resonator size/length, situated after X-pipe. I don't want to interfere with the collector length. Looking to use oval section or make dual resonator boxes 20-30" long.

Rest of the set up is as below. Exhaust gurus, please feel free to drop some feedback - greatly appreciated! Have done lots of research into this design, now left with only a few questions.

It's a bolt on only LS3, stock intake manifold, cam is a custom kelford HS108C, tweaked closer to the 108D but to retain maximum area under curve, along with some appropriate valve springs and pushrods. Similar cam spec card here http://www.camshaftshop.com/products...tid=1194#specs
Just more optimised for upper mid, .625 lift, 0.615 exhaust from memory and bit less aggressive overall bit less top end focus. Can get exact specs tomorrow if it's critical.

Using 1 7/8" primary, 4-2-1or 4-1 merge collectors depending on what exhaust fabricator can fit. Length 28-32". Equal length primaries in this car will be an absolute money sink for little to no gain. Collector aiming for 10-20" and 3.5" diameter, equal length.

X pipe after and will likely have some some oval or box resonator sections 20-30" long. Not too sure on how big these should be as mentioned earlier - don't want to mess with collector length - any tips appreciated.

Dual 3" tubing or equivalent oval tubing to exhausts, post resonators. Exhausts will be the flowmaster 50 series deltaflow 3" single in out, need >95db here in New Zealand. 97db at a stretch... crazy stuff like zoomies only possible if going to a sanctioned competition.

Many thanks for your suggestions, tips, feedback or experience. LS swaps are pretty rare here, along with S2000s, so it's great to have a community like LS1tech to participate in, for such a locally weird combination.

Cheers,
-S2KIWI

Did further digging with other terminology.. does resonator volume (for both) have to equal at least 1x engine capacity or 2x capacity?
