Default Will LS3 continue to run with loss of crank sensor signal?

I read some ECM's can use cam sensor signal to compensate for loss of crank position signal, although not very smoothly, but engine will still produce power , and likely won't start with just cam sensor... Do the GM Performance ECM's have such ability? Is there a way to disable limp mode on GM ECM's and allow this. Would be helpful for off road applications.

Pretty sure the crank signal is mandatory.

You need crank signal to tell the plugs when to fire.

I had a 5.3 in my trans am at one point. the converter box fried due to wires getting melted. engine would run with no cam or crank signal. but it barely ran. would back fire
very loud. I barely drove it due to that.
