Default LS2 into C5, 1 or 2 wire Knock sensors

Hey guys,

I'm approaching installation of a LS2 into my 2004 C5Z. I've read that the 2 wire Gen4 sensors will not work on the earlier C5's, but how about the later cars. Racetronix sells adapters/extensions for both style sensors. The smaller newer Knock sensors would make install easier id assume with the headers. Let me know what you guys think.

Stay with single wire knock sensors. Drill and tap the 8mm holes for M10x1.5 on the sides of the block.

I have been searching for a threat that shows how to drill the Ls2 block for the Ls1 knock sensors but nothing came up.

If you can, test fit the headers with the engine out, then decide where you want to put the sensors. There are a couple pre-drilled locations you can use. The holes are too small, but it makes enlarging easier since you just go the depth already drilled.
