If you buy the bare casting Trickflow 255 ls3 heads do they come with valves?

LOL
The 'top' springs on the TF heads are good for .650" lift. As long as your cam lift stays a bit below that, you'll be fine. Personally, I like to keep cam lift at least .030" below the lift rating of the springs if I plan to race the car.....but that's just me.

I have a set of btr .660 springs in my stock heads and wondered which ones would be the better option

Trick flow heads use a different length valve than normal. So if you are looking for valves plan accordingly.
The trick flow springs will be a better option really. They are PAC. The real difference is spring pressure as both can handle good lift, really depends on installed height though which i dont know. the T001 has the 370lb spring with 1.010 cb and the T002 has the 450lb spring with 1.080 cb.
Remember they will need a 7.750 pr at least. For that length youd really want an 11/32 pr or 3/8 or at least a .120 wall.

The T001 have a better rate than the btr but are closest. Use them.

I was asking because I have a set of the Btrs in my stock heads with my current set up and wondered if they could be used in these heads

The trick flow valves are heavier than stock and you are looking at a heavier roller rocker also, the higher spring rate would be much better plus brand new.

I plan on using either the Btr stage 4 or cam motion titan king to go with the heads. Since you recommend using the T001 springs which is the 370 lb version correct? How much lift are those springs good for?

Coil bind is 1.010 and installed height is 1.780 iirc for those so .700 lift would be fine.

so basicly you're saying the ones with the cheaper springs would be what you recommend. Is there a difference in the lift they can handle? I know the Btr stage 4 is pretty conservative on lift so it should be easy on the springs for as big a cam as it is

Lift isnt the only part to consider how aggressive a lobe is. The higher rate spring would be better for higher rpms or more aggressive lobes but have a 1.080 coil bind so arent rated for as much lift roughly .650. It will depend on the rocker arm used and weight over valve as to whether or not youd want to jump up to the higher rate.
