I'e heard nothing but good things about the LS3 intake with the radius mod did to them. Heard they do as well as some of these aftermarket intakes.

is this the same as holley low profile? Looks identical just rebadged.
Holley seems to have back order on the sniper low profile until late July.

But I do agree, for the money they do still represent decent value. But it cannot be ignored that the quality is seriously lacking.. Port alignment on mine was terrible ( cathedrals )....but how many stick a bore scope inside the manifold to look ? Probably few.
The rubber o-ring seals provided are poor, but I did use them and I do believe they will seal. But they are nowhere near OEM quality.
And certainly on my fuel rails, on one end of each rail the taper at the end was insufficient for the o-ring fitting. So upon tightening it destroyed the o-ring. Now it did remain squashed enough to prevent leaks ok but when I removed everything again, the o-ring was not in any way usable again. That's potentially a serious issue which long term could and probably would result in leaks.
For refitting I tried a 0.5mm thinner o-ring and this seemed to fit much better and so far no leaks. But the other end was fine with the supplied o-rings which are correct for the -8 fittings.
And then there is the noise...the sound transmitted via the thing sheet metal lid of the intake really is terrible. Of course when driving, inside the car etc etc I wont hear this. But with the hood open and engine idling it really is shocking. That again is a quality issue
But I will use it for now, it gives me a good baseline as to what height of such intake will fit my car etc should I decide on a proper one later and as to whether it will genuinely help me in the 7k+ range without spending a fortune to find out.
And yes they do still look cool.
But be under no illusions about the quality even if they are very cheap. Although how anyone can fabricate and supply all the parts even at the level they are for the price, is no joke either. Without doubt there is a lot of work in fabbing these things.
