Default Ported FAST 102 vs stock LS3 intake

Have a 2012 LS3 Corvette that presently just has a Borla Stinger axle back on it. Going to do headers and midpipe (probably Speed Engineering 1 7/8"), and a Vararam CAI. Will be keeping the stock camshaft and 2.56 rear gears but might do a Yank SS 3400 converter. Obviously, I will be getting it tuned also. Trying to decide if a ported FAST 102 (using the factory 90mm TB) will make enough extra rwhp to justify the cost. If I can get at least 20rwhp I would be good with that. If you have any experience with a similar package, let me know how it worked for you. Thanks in advance.

Yes, but that has a cam and if I put on a FAST I would get it ported first.

The radius rod tweaked LS3 intake is probably a better value unless you're planning a 7000+ rpm motor

I'm not sure my ported Fast is worth even 10 hp on my 416 under 6,000 rpm

Stock intake is fine with Stock cubes, Stock heads and Stock rpm range. It takes a nasty **** over 6500 rpm. A fast becomes more beneficial when you add better or ported heads or want to rev to 7500.

You wont see any gains with the stock cam and heads. I just tested a stock, ported and FAST LSXR 102 intake on a cam only LS3. The stock intake offers more than enough airflow for a stock engine so save your money there until you get a big cam, heads or cubes.

I agree. I just did my own version of the radius rod ported intake on a cam only LS3. The FAST and the ported intake were almost identical making about 14-16hp more than the stock one. Difference is they carried power to 7000rpm where the stock one starts to run out at 6200 and is done by 6400rpm. Power and torque curve is a bit nicer though with the FAST and ported intake and they made more hp/tq early on as well. I'd say for anything under 427ci, unless its a monster high rpm cam, its hard to justify $1000 for the FAST.

102 I take not worth it unless you have heads and cam to match. Gotta get the space the air fits in bigger before you need to get more air there.

And I am the guy with stock cam and mid length runners turning it 7200 lol looking for 10.3@134-135 this fall. When you free one up the fast and 102 TB makes this thing drive like a dream.
