Simple temp gauge question

Hello,
Does anyone know if I can take the water temperature signal from my LS7 GM ECM and simply connect it to my original temp gauge on a 69 vette?
I'm trying to use my original gauges to keep a stock look.

I'll eventually just try it if there is no answer!

Thanks for any input!
Scott

What harness are you using? I looked at the PSI Conversion I&S manual for the LS7 and it says an oil pressure sensor is not required.

He's not asking about the oil pressure sensor. He's talking about the temp sensor. Read the title of the thread

Oh my bad. Sorry about that.

I am planning on swapping a LS3 into a 4th gen Monte and will most likley be running 2 temp sensors. One for the PCM and one for the gauge.

I'm running a crate GM LS7 , GM Harness, GM computer reprogrammed for htrod use vs 2013 Corvette, Crate 4L75E and GM computer.
The entire drivetrain is a connect and cruise kit.
I'm thinking I can just hook my temp gauge to the temp wire provided.
I understand I can buy all new modern gauges that WILL work however I am trying to keep my car stock looking as possible including using the original gauges.
I will be smoking a 15lb brisket Saturday and will be closely tied to the smoker so I should have time to play with my car some.

OIL PRESSURE: since it was brought up
As far as the oil pressure gauge, the 74 vette has an electric gauge vs the mechanical gauge my 69 has. I'll be attempting to make a 74 oil gauge work also.
Again, I hate none functional gauges and I really like my simple factory look. If you have a doner 74 vette oil pressure gauge I'm interested! :)

Thanks
Scott
