Default Will LS4 243 heads fit 2000 LS1 long block?

Pretty much what the title says. I was wondering if LS4 243s from a 2007 will bolt directly onto a 2000 LS1 block. I bought an LS4 for a project and i am planing on having the 243s sent out to be ported for my 68 firebird, and putting the 241s back on the LS4 since this project wont need the extra power. Will this work?

I ask becasue ive seen they list different head bolt kits and head gaskets for 97-2004 LS1s and 2004-up.

LS4????? Where did you buy an LS4?

2007's were LS2's and the heads are the same as the LS6 heads so yes, they will bolt on.

On Ebay, 2007 Impala ss engine, 5.3L all aluminum, 243 heads, 4T65E-HD auto transmission, 12,000 miles for $499. no one bid on it. I guess this is why, people dont know they exist. lol. I'm using the setup in a temporary dune buggy chasis until i get it all squared away and running then ill work on the chasis. They make 303/327 stock. They also have displacement on demand which is easily swapped out. I pulling the 243 heads off of it and having Lloyd Elliot port them for my 68 Firebird. I have an extra pair of LS1 heads ill put back on the LS4. I figure $499 isnt bad for 12,000 miles LS6 heads, the rest was free.

Just so the readers know the LS4 has a shortned crankshaft and uses a V6 bolt pattern for the front wheel drive transmission. There is no starter provision on the block as its made into the transmisison. So these engines probably wouldnt be all that great for a project swap unless you want a rear end rear wheel drive LSx setup then its PERFECT i.e. fiero or kit cars.

After a few horus research i've determined the MSD 6012 box can be used to run the LS4 carbureted as well. It uses the LS2 4x crank sensor and 58x crank sensor. The Victor junior and GMMP intake will fit since it uses the LS6 heads. the displacement on demand lifters default is to have the oil solenoids closed so the lifters will function as normal without them active. The lifters directly swap with all the other LSx lifters as well. The camshaft is an LS2 camshaft in them from what ive read.

LS4 heads work on LS1 motor with LS1, LS6, or Fast manifold. There just another set of 243 heads.

Oh and the LS4 has been around for a couple of years now.
It's the AFM 5.3 in the FWD GM Sedans (Chevy and Pontiac).

i wold imagine the head gaskets are diffrent because the ls4 is a smaller bore since its a 5.3
