Default Cam differences?

Is there a physical difference between an LS1 and LS2 camshaft? Not talking lift/ duration, actual bolt it in size, timing gear mounting etc.

Yes.
The stock LS2 cam has no machined section on it for a cam sensor.

So I can use an LS1 cam in an LS2, but not a LS2 cam in a LS1, right?

Right.
Unless you went to all the trouble and expense of putting an LS2 front timing cover onto the LS1.

Ok, just wanted to make sure. I ordered a cam for my LS2, and the cam card says it is for an LS1. So now I can stab it in and get this thing assembled.

Thanks guys!
