a fast intake with fuel rails adds up to around that. When i spoke to bob in the middle of the install it had took me about 3.5 hrs to get the hood to shut just with the intake on then clearancing the throttle body my nos plate relocating the ps resivoir making fuel lines and extending some wires killed the rest of my day all n all 8 hrs not bad though considering the outcome.the motor mounts were made from a rigid bodylift kit for a jeep it worked out well actually their made from steel and 2 3.5" grade 8 bolts and that was dun

Damn that looks good with the goat valve covers! In the other thread guys are bitching about how bad the design is because you might have to grind a little for fat injectors. I'd also like to say nice hotrodd'n, nice to see work trumping bitching. Did you have a baseline drag time, or dyno run to compare to later?

how thick is the top of these intakes? think there is a chance to mod the intake to fit instead of dropping the motor, tranny, and DS bearing ??

Just wanted to get in here & say good job! Not a lot of people would take the time to make that happen! Great job!!!

Looks good. You say the motivation was because you didn't want to spend the money on a FAST (which I can understand), but how much extra did it cost to go through lowering the engine, trans and k-member? Did you make the new motor and trans mounts?
I had seriously thought about that intake but when I saw the work involved to make it fit on a camaro, I had to give it the old for my car.

Well I just confirmed my thoughts with Richard @ WCCH , this intake gives up way too much bottom end for my application. I'm almost a second slower at the 1/8th mi strip and throttle responce is a little lazy.
Richard says they act a lot like the victor (3500-7000 rpm) but shorter runners, so it would have to be for a lighter vehicle, looser converter and lower gear or something that can afford to give up so much bottom.
I'm running a 4L80E, 3000 stall with 3.73's and don't want to change and give up driveability. The fact is there is nothing out there currently for most of our trucks. FAST is supposily working on a truck only intake but sure it will be big $ when and if.
So I'm going back to the LS6 intake, it falls off some at the top but I was in the high 7's at the 1/8th with it so not too bad.
My only regret.........I sold my LS6 intake.................................
