L92 pump flows about 30% more than a stock pump, so unless you have bearings that are on the loose side, you may be ok with a stock, or an SLP pump that adds around 18% more flow.
Does the L92 have a stock reg spring?

There is really only one thing that will cause excessively high oil pressure - the oil pump pressure relief valve. If the valve is stuck, it won't bleed out any pressure, meaning the pump will be at 100% of its capability at all times. Which could very well be 65PSi at idle and 100PSI above that.

I dont really think its gonna 'hurt' anything in itself. There are things can happen because of too high of oil pressure. Like the oil filter could blow apart or blow off, and then you got problems. Internally you could forcing oil into places it really doesnt normally go, which could be a bad thing. Also, you could run the risk of over heating the oil, and hot oil isnt a good thing (at a point), and also, the pump itself might be under undue stress and could fail prematurely.
Like someone else mentioned, the relief spring might need adjusting or is stuck. You mentioned a cam install. Maybe the cam to bearing clearance is REALLY tight there, causing a bump in pressure. Do you have another bump stick to try to see what it is?? If you do, mic the journals on both cams to see if there is a difference on them.
In addition, its not fair to say that ls1tech sucks, I assume you said it cuz you are frustrated, and I understand that. Your problem may be one that many people dont have a straight answer for so they are afraid / dont want to chime in, or some users expect other users to search out answers on their own. Using the search function seems to take a while, but when you consider the time you spent since your first post on this subject till now, how many searches could you have done on here and around the web.
Good luck, and keep us updated.

relief spring
was the engine originally dod or vvt equipped? If you have removed these you should put in a pressure relief spring from a vehicle with a standard oiling system. since you said it is a l92 and not a ls3 i would assume you had one or the other so change your spring out. The L92 has a wayyy longer spring causing higher pressures for running dod/vvt. you are going to heat the **** out of your oil.

mine has been like this for over a year, its my dd and sees the track at least once a week some times three times a week and no problems here. My bearing clearnces are at .002 with stock crank hbeams, and forged pistons. all other parts are stock.
