Default Valley cover PCV provisions on ls2 in ls1 car

I put an ls2 in my car and I noticed the valley cover has a spout for the pcv system out front. I just have a rubber stopper over it right now and have my pcv system rigged up how it was on my ls1 with a catchcan. Do i need to do anything special here?

that should go into the catchcan and then back to the intake manifold, this is the "dirty" side of the pcv system. The driver side vc can be plugged and the pass side goes straght to the TB, this is the "clean side"

Cool that sounds pretty easy, what did you use to plug the drives side vc?

just a piece of rubber, it actually came with my motor, but I'm sure anything that fits snug will do just fine.

Monitor your oil consumption. The LS2 PCV system is a fixed orifice system and it does not take much before you are sucking loads of oil through it.

There was a train-wreck of a thread regarding PCV system / catch can setup on LS2 motors not too long ago. Do a search for "427 oil consumption".

Come on.....I wouldn't call it a 'train wreck'!

Two threads you should peruse:

The information that was published in that thread is great. The help you and Tracy provided is fantastic!
