LS7 in a 2wd blazer with Ported WCCH L92

Ok here is the setup. My buddy has a 2wd s-10 blazer with a ls7 in it with WCCH ported L92. With driver in the vehicle it weighs about 3750.

The LS7 bottom end is stock beside the ARP main stud kit, WCCH poted L92, GM Carb Style intake with a edlebrock elbow, ported 90mm throttle body, LSR off the shelf comp cams, slp under drive pulley, Stock rockers, 4000 stall, powerglide with trans brake( Yes we know he needs a 350 turbo), 4.10 gears(soon to be 4.56gears), TSP mail tune(which I have tweeked a little but not much), TSP 100mm MAF, 60lbs injectors, GM LS2 stand alone computer and harness, and finally BRP 1 7/8 headers steeped to 2 inch.

First time at the track it was running in the mid to low 11s on a hot and humid day. After playin with the tune and changing the injectors we got it to hit a 10.86@126mph in the quarter. Our goal is to get it into the mid to low 10s so hopefully with some more tuning, gear swap, and some weight reduction we can get it. Ill post up the time slips later and also some pics.

thanks, my buddy has a small salvage yard and this vehicle here was put together with parts he had laying around. He calls it the junkyard dog which is a perfect name for it. It started out with a LT1 and the he had a ATI F1 on it which went 9.70 in the quarter. Now we have the NA stock bottom end LS7 in it with the L92. Were definately on a budget and we want to hit low 10s on pump gas.

Update. This setup just went 10.41@130mph at michigan today. Hopefully when the becksheet metal intake arrive and the yella terra's we will get it to the low tens.

Yep. Sometimes I call it and LS3 but its a L92 with all the VVT stuff removed so its like one. I kind of use the terms interchangeably as some don't know what the L92 is but do know the LS3. It was in a 72 Vega running 9.5's I was impressed that 3800 lb dog was moving out like it was.

New best 10.15@129mph. big thanks goes out to jermey at fasterproms for making it faster and he was also right about the caddy lifters. that 10.15 pass was done on 4 lifters heading south.
