putting together my 408 this week and need input or tips. bottom end is fully assembled from tsp heads are stage 3 ls6 cam is tsp giant 248/254 .612/.624 113lsa lifters are comp r's fast 92/92 set up and fast 42lb injectors.... ported and shimmed ls6 oil pump double roller timing chain etc etc anyways im used to older motors what needs to be done as far timing also do i need to prime the oil pump and if so how like i said im used to older aka distributor motors any advice would be helpful

You don't have to do anything with Timing..just make sure the Dots line up properly.

There really is no way to Prime the Oil Pumps in these.. I unplug the Fuses for the Coils and Injectors, turn it over a few times with the Starter before starting it.

ya i thought about that and also was told to pack the oil pump with bearing grease

there is a brass plug in the side of the block inline with the oil pump at the front of the block drivers side. you can get a priming take, and prime the engine from there. also you can use the oil pressure sending unit hole at the back top of the block.
