it'd easily be that with bigger combustion chamber...I had them milled down just about as far as possible for higher compression. stock gasket thickness + 70cc chambers = 9.4:1

Cool man. How do you calculate that?

I just had my l92's milled to hell to get compression up with my stock bottom. haha

I like my l92's, I have to rev it hard(7500+) but it makes the power.

interesting cam specs...not much split, why did you choose that cam?

what kind of numbers did you put down?

ET's?

yeah trust me I've read just about every L92 thread there is to read and most if not all are on 402/408 setups...very few on the stock 6.0 bottom end.

but I got cam specs from Pat G should be pretty good I'll have the cam in my hands in 3 weeks or so...:D

In the other thread there is a member with the screen name 8bygoat and he has a stock bottom end with L92's and his cam goes against all conventional wisdom of an L92 headed motor. His specs are 232/236 600/600 113lsa. In his sig he states that his 05 gto makes 452 rwhp thru an auto and runs 11.22 on the motor. The cam was supposedly spec'ed by Ed Curtis.

There's also the thread in the dyno section awhile back that had a GTO, stock bottom end, L92's and Virginia Speed's own L92 grind that made 508 rwhp thru a 6 spd w/ l76 intake. The heads were ported L92's from WCCH.

The "conventional" wisdom in many of these L92 threads isn't wisdom.
Ed knows what works....I've put a 230/234 in a LS3 car very similar to that cam and works very, very well.

define "very well" ?

not knocking you just seeing exactly what it did, or track times.

87silverbullet I did see his results...damn good I hope to be around there if not a bit better.

didn't see the GTO but Shawn told me about making those numbers damn impressive.

my cam I guess is considered "conventional L92 wisdom" it is ground on the LSL lobes 227/235 .614/.621 113+4.

here is another cam Patrick suggested it made 460/446 on a stock bottom end ls2 w/ STOCK L92 heads.

I am not knocking Ed in any kind of way. He knows his stuff.

On the other hand you can't argue with the dyno or track numbers people put up when they do go with a big split.

I see it as they both work very well.

Looks like a good cam. I am choosing to go with a cam from Geoff at EPS that is just barely bigger than yours it measures 230/246 600/607 113. He is going to be tuning my car and it is a cam that he picked for my car. I hope to put up numbers in the ballpark of all the threads we mentioned. I really want to put down the track numbers everybody are making.

Geoff @ EPS is grinding the cam:D

is that cam going in a stroker or a 364?

Texas Speed Matt,

What do these heads flow versus the as cast ones??

Also, is there any issue with valve shrouding or anything like that??

It's going in an L92 6.2 376 cu motor I picked up.

That cam is close to what I had in my ls1 that I blew up. It was 230/240 613/608 111. I wanted to go into this motor fresh so I chose another cam instead of re-using that one.
