LS1 heads on L76 block

Can I run my ported 98 LS1 heads and cam on a L76 block after removing the VVT?

They will bolt on but the stock LY6 heads are the same as L92 heads and will flow more than your ported 98 heads will so why change them?

I was wanting to use my LS6 intake setup for now.

All of that will bolt up so if you want to run it you can.

What would the approximate compression ratio be?

No idea. You'd have to CC your combustion chambers to see what they are and calculate it out. Things like head gasket eetc all come into play with compression ratio. If everything is stock you'll be in the 10:1 region

Thanks, I was just trying to get an idea.
