Who's the cam guy to help me spec this...?

408 iron block
forged rotating assy with 9.3:1 CR
PRC L92 ported heads, LS3 intake with siemen's 80# injs
Twin 6265 turbos at 15psi max (probably 12psi most of time)
Beefed-up 700r4 with ~3000rpm stall
9" Ford rear with 3.73 gears and 28" tire
1971 Chevelle weight
street manners with 93 octane, but would like aggressive idle sound
max rpm ~6500

Want a pro's recommendation...was looking at the new lingenfelter GT9 myself, but a custom grind is likely.

i think pat g could do a good job here. I had three l92 cams already and his cam made the most power and has no bucking like the others. Give him a shout.

PATRICK-G is the person you want to talk to .

This Patrick G must be like the Yoda of cams...

Does he just provide specs or does he grind them, too?

Pat will give you a very detailed spec sheet which you can forward to your chosen camshaft supplier.

I love my Pat G /EPS cam they set up for me. Geoff and Pat are both great to work with $.02.

Good luck with your project.

Thanks. I know we don't discuss specific pricing, but is it reasonably priced to have him spec one, considering a custom grind cam will be is the $400-500 range at least?

general23cmp Jun 13, 2010 06:47 PM

Found everything I needed on his website....very reasonable.

$400-$500!!!!! I'll do any grind for $359

Well, I already have my cam specs from Pat G, and boy am i glad I went that route. The numbers are unlike what I had planned on my own, so it was good I requested help.

Fast service at a reasonable price. Thanks!

PatG and EPS are making magic right now. Getting a cheap cam is easy.... Getting a cam that does exactly what you want, how you want, and better than just about everyone else is difficult and therefore costs a little more.

Get what you pay for.

I have a PatG spec EPS grind VVT cam just about ready to drop in FINALLY. I've had it for 3 months but work has been insane and no time to do the work and I dont farm out builds to ANYONE anymore. Another saying I like...

If you want something done right? Do it yourself
