I am going to build a 408 FI motor. I am going to use a LQ9 block to do it with.

What is the difference between the LQ9 and the LS1 besides the bigger c.i. and its iron?

what kind of forced induction are you looking to run?

With the exception of 1 missing alternator bolt hole that can be drilled and tapped on the LQ9 block they fit all same covers. Blocks are same deck height, same external dimensions.

I have heard a lot of good things about the d1sc pro charger so im leaning that way unless you can sell me on something else......

What about the timing chain? Is it different from the LS1?
What about the lifters, push rods, rocker arms any difference there?
When I go to buy ARP studs for the mains and heads, do I just buy them for a LS1?

everything interchanges. one of the iron blocks takes a different head stud, i think it is an 04 up block ( can't remember is it the lq4 or lq9 ? ) but can't remember exactly.
