ls1 to ls7 coils? do or dont? if i have a 98 camaro and installing a ls7 is it a good idea to get a set of ls7 coil packs or stick with my ls1 coil packs? thanks aj |
I would stick with your stock LS1 coils. The LS7 coils have a different mounting pattern if I remember correctly. If you are looking for a stronger coil you might look into the truck coils. |
LS2 and LS7 coil packs are same, have more kV output then LS1 coils. |
I would go with the LS7 coils...Maybe not quite as much output as the D585 coils but still better than the LS1 coils...JMO |

^^^Yes...Cylinder shaped like the LS7 coils ( can't remember part # for LS7's off the top of my head) but they have aluminum heat sink fins at the top of them... |
D514A for the LS2/LS7 ignition coil |
