What brand of 1 7/8" headers do you have on your LS3 motor in a 4th Gen F-body?

Default What brand of 1 7/8" headers do you have on your LS3 motor in a 4th Gen F-body?

I read the ARH header comparison thread over at Camaro5.com, and I'm curious which LS1 1 7/8" headers provide the necessary clearance for the LS3 conversion hardware (harness extensions, knock sensors, etc) in a LS1 engine bay. I'm hoping the ARH's fit properly so the y-pipe could be re-used.

the only thing I had to do to get them to fit was grind down a square tab on the back drivers side of the block, then the drivers side slid right up and in. The passenger side just fit in perfect.

I just installed ARH 1 7/8 stainless headers on my LSX. My Y pipe is from hooker. I had to take a small come-a-long and squeeze the Y pipe togethor a little bit, maybe a half inch or so. all in all it worked fine.

On my LS2 based 402, running tsp 1 7/8" for a pretty easy fit.

I had a set of Kooks 1 7/8 headers when I first installed the LS3. They hit the stock K member on both sides. I had less than 1/16 clearance on both sides. New stock motor mounts too. Headers would bang on K Member whenever it would hit a bump. I took them off and went back to my old FLP 1 3/4 headers.

Dont waste your money on the kooks. I'm looking at ARH headers now.
