Default 4.070 Bore W LS7 Heads?! Is this possible?!

Looking at TSP Short Block 427 Its LS3 block Bored to 4.070

Im wanting A LS7 top end to put on this but I know the stock LS7 heads the exhaust Valves are going to be real close the the cyc wall

Ive been hearing MAST is or has come out w a LS7 head w small Exh Valves and TSP might be doing the same here soon

Anyone else have a update on any of this?

Thx!

TSP has be R&Ding an LS3 bore head that has been showing great promise.

Mast is also badass and they have the head on the market already

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Mast quit making their small bore LS7 heads?

It would probably be cheaper for you to put smaller valves in the heads you have. A decent machine shop could turn down the exhaust valves and cut a valvejob for the smaller diameter for probably less than $500.

I'd like to see some 402/408 results with those heads.

a 2.200 intake valve will work on 4.070 bore @15 deg so it will work using a gm ls7 head

wcch and me have done it with plenty of bore clearance on his stage 3 ls3 heads on a 4.070 bore

Besides the intake manifold, wouldn't WCCH or Procomp's LS3 heads with the 2.2/1.6 valves provide about the same results?

It's kinda weird, if you look at Procomp's literature, they state 270/71cc's.

But if you look at Hot Rod magazine's LS3/L92 head test, most ported heads, Procomp's CNC'd included, end up around 280/90+ cc's.

I'm kinda curious about this whole medium bore LS7 head thing given that EFI manifold'ed LS7's seem to rev higher than similarly built LS3/L92's. But if no one is going to build medium bore LS7 heads anymore then I guess it's a mute point and I should look more seriously at a 4.125+ block so that I can run any LS7 head.

The pro comp numbers are probably as cast or their cnc port design. I like that it's a smaller or similar size port with more flow. I'd like to think TSP's would be a little cheaper too.

Mast performance part #510-302
256cc int port vol flow 372 cfm
and 260 cfm on the exhaust, are just bolt on.
In comparison the stock ls3 with 360 cfm int port vol flow 319cfm intake
