Default jesel belt drive/or gm front cover-distributor

can the jesel belt drive be used for minimal street use? or does it go through belts/better for track only.

debating whether to do the jesel belt drive and distributor or the gm front cover with sbf billet distributor....

anyone have pics of their set up?

GM cover with the sbFord distributor all the way. I'm using the ready-to-run distributor, basically two wires from the distributor to the coil plus one ground and the engine is running. No wiring harness, no muss, no fuss. Carb'd too, very simple. Wouldn't do it any other way. Sorry no pics handy.

Default Careful..

I know of a guy that cut the front of the block to accept the belt drive kit, just to find out, that the only oiling system he could now use, is dry sump, and he was not advised by the kit manufacturer.

You would be better with the stock cover and either Ls coils or Holley coils.

In response to Camster, it clearly states in the Jesel catalog that you must convert to dry sump or external oiling.
