bought a block should i worry

Default bought a block should i worry

So I bought a 6.0 bored 30 at a really good price.I looked it over and everything looked good. But after really looking it over I came across this crack and need too know if I should worry





It is right in that drain hole

It looks like more casting flash than anything. I would grind it off before I built the motor. You would have to worry more about cracks on the deck or around the mains. I wouldn't worry about that though.

I agree with 87. Grind it back with a carbide bit and see what you've got.

I didn't think so either. I'll just grind it back to make sure nothing does break off and make its way back down into the oil and move forward. It won't affect anything by losing that chunk of metal anyway.thanks
