Dry Sump LS3

Dry Sump LS3
Can factory parts be used to put a dry sump on a stock LS3. My concerns stem from reading some posts that say these engines do not like sustained hi rpm/hi g-load driving. If dry sumo is not an option will an Accusump provide the margin of safety that is needed?

NO it has powder metal rods but crank is forged 4340 steel. Change the bolts to ARP and good to go to 7K RPMs in my book.

Here is a link to a vendor from Corvette Forum. $4800 wet sump $6800 dry sump, probably because of hand assembly at GM Tech Center just like the LS7 and ZR1 motors. Link: http://www.partstaxi.com/parts/2011/...E&group=ENGINE
Remember, you will still have to buy oil tank and other parts like an intake. I scored my LS3 intake complete with injectors, fuel rails, gaskets and mounting bolts off Ebay for under $300 but, seems like the price is going up a little (they are removed for Edelbrock supercharger installations.)
If the LS3 motor on the Corvette forum is still there I would talk to that seller first. Good Luck with your search
