yea, FML...i almost regretted ordering the EPS cam, but kinda put it out of my mind...now you got me wondering.

I try to stay away from Camaro5. everytime i go there, i leave dumber.

I would never regret going with Geoffs cam. I've got an EPS cam that's kind of similar coming, he really knows his stuff and has dyno'd a TON of cars with his cams.

not saying I regret Geoff's cam or doubt his abilities as I have heard nothing but good things, however, I can find NOTHING on this cam, good or bad. not even an idle clip, or someone saying, "I have it, I hate/like it" absoutely NOTHING.

but i have heard great things about the 231/236, seen dyno charts, track times, drivability experiences...etc

thats why I'm second guessing myself.

Well most of Geoff's cams are relatively new so more than likely that is the reason most people don't have them. Plus Geoff isn't on here much compared to Texas Speed to show results of his cam. I did some research to try to find this cam in use also and came up with nothing. I was about to order it awhile back but went bigger and needed a better cam.

Trust me, there is the red pill(Geoff cam) and the blue pill(TSP cam) and you have taken the red, so Morpheus(Geoff) will open your eyes!

You could always take those cams to spinmonster and get his opinion.

Well, it's ordered, so no turning back now. According to The eps website, this cam works good with 1.8 rockers, which is what I have a line on now...so we will see how it works out.

Most definitely. It will be some time as I'm still gathering parts for the engine and the block is still at the machine shop. But I will definitely keep updates.

Geoff spec'd out my cam for my L92 headed 416. He came back with 240/251 636/621 on a 114. I expected bigger after seeing a TSP gring of 251/259 make 646hp on an engine dyno with a motor of the same size. I trust Geoff so I went with his cam on a blind whim because alot of his grinds were putting out some awesome numbers and his cams were making the same or better power than cams that were way bigger. I'm in the same boat as you, gotta get a few more parts to finish up the build

Just get a bigger cam then, the EPS is just a baby brother to the LSL lobes. Step up to an LSL lobed cam, stick with the 1.7 rocker and not have valvetrain instability issues.

IIRC there's more to it than that. I talked to Geoff and his cams have alot of lift already compared to similar sized duration cams to make them stable.

I would just talk to Geoff. His lobes are unique to themselves so an LSL lobe would more likely be a more aggressive than his lobes which are categorized as LSG lobes and the profiles of them are different enough to warrant a different name because Comp isn't going to do just a variation of another lobe that has the same profile and Let a person give it a name.

You will be happy with the results. Geoff isnt new to the LS world. I mean he did spec the Trex cam and we all know thats a mean *****. I talk to him on the phone for about 30 minutes and help me out on my desicion and customer service is great. Went with the 234/246 on a 111lsa and the car runs great and max out my injectors damn it haha. Even if you dyno those camshaft back to back and bet there wouldnt be a huge difference.

Maybe I misunderstood but it seems like you just went to the EPS website and just picked your cam. I would definetly call Geoff before moving on to someone elses cam. I.am sure you have done your homework on EPS and noticed his cam's are unique (as all company's should be) and advertised duration is only part of it. Either way he grinds his cam to order, he has no actual "shelf cam". It's worth a phone call tell'em what you got, and what you want. Then decide if it seems right or wrong Just my .02¢

I'm going to call Geoff in The morning and speak with him personally and get to The bottom of this. I ordered the cam Saturday so I doubt the order has processed yet so I can change it if need be.
