Default LS2 cam setup - please help

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 Corvette LS2 manual stock with full exhaust (headers and catback) and I want a cam setup.
The car is driven mainly in the city, I want a nice sound at iddle but still to be a good daily driver. The cam should be ok for a future supercharger upgrade. I'm looking for torque not top end power.
What setup would you recomand ?

I'm looking at

N230 SDPC LSX Camshaft 230/238 .565/.595 115

TSP 228R 228/228 114 (don't know the lift but it's around .585)

Z+221 SDPC LSX Camshaft 221/226 .565/.560 114

Lingenfelter GT9 LS9 ZR1 Supercharger Camshaft All LSx Engines-(215/247 .629/.656 121 CL)

any other sugestions will be great.

Thanks,
Mihai

I would get an LS9 cam...nothing about a mid 230s camshaft in a stock cubed LS2 screams low end torque...

VXr5 is too wild for me. I talk to SpinMonster and I decided on this setup:

COMP CAMS 273 XTREME XE-R XER273HR 224/230 .581 .588 114
LUNATI 7.400" ONE-PIECE PUSHRODS
LUNATI GOLD DUAL VALVE SPRING SPRINGS KIT .660" MAX LIFT
C5-R timing chain

He said I should mill the heads to get a plain surface if I go with 7.400 pushrods so everything will line up perfect.
The correct pushrod lenght for this cam should be 7.430 . I'll go with the 7.400 and just shave the heads and do some porting. Any ideeas how much should I mill ? I want to keep the compression as low as possible.

Just mill enough to get them straight. I'd start with .003 and see if that does it. Then go up in .003 until it's straight..0065 equals about 1cc out of the chamber.

Also, stop guessing on pushrod length. Measure it and buy the correct length.
