can a cam be saved??
long story short my buddies cam only 6.0 gto got a new timing chain and a few other things and in the process the oring for the oil pump got pinched causing a lack of lube to the cam/lifters etc. the gto got a new cam and is back on the road but i've got another buddy budget building a lq9 and was asking if a machine shop can maybe polish a cam so he can use the old gto cam in the lq, I've never heard about doing anything like this but i figured if anyone would know it would be someone on here lol.

Pictures of said cam would help. It really depends on the extent and severity of the damage.
