Default LS2 402ci Stroker Rebuild Labor Cost

Hey folks. I recently spun a rod bearing in my LS2 and wanted to see what the cost for labor to get the car running again.

The stroker kit is:
http://texas-speed.com/p-903-tsp-402...-assembly.aspx

I have already purchased all of the parts for the rebuild.

I need the engine removed, disassembled, machine work to hone it to 4.005" and balancing (will I need machine work for rod clearances?), reassembly, reinstallation and tuning (street tune until I can get her to a dyno). I've also got a new exhaust (headers, y-pipe, cat-back) to put on her as well.

So, anyone who has done something like this before possibly have a ballpark estimate for me? Thanks for the help folks.

Side note: I've already paid $1k for R&R of the engine so hopefully I didn't pay too much... haha. Also, sorry if this post seems scatterbrained... I'm running off of 2 hours of sleep at the moment.

I'm looking to do something similar and would also be interesting in hearing what some will have to say.

most shops charge 2500 for the R+R so I think you did good there...
as far as labor goes it all depends on who is doing to work.. I've seen anywhere from 400 to 1500 .. all depending on who does it... find someone your comfortable with.. its not the parts or fancy machinery.. its the builder that makes one engine better than the other

a ball park for the engine removal, disassembly, reassembly, install would run the ballpark of 2000$ and up if you go to a shop or have someone who REALLY knows what they are doing and have the appropriate tools, as for the machine work, i couldnt tell ya, but keep some fall back money for anything unexpected, new flywheel? if you didnt get gasket kit?
the tune depends sometimes on the type of cam you have and any power adders, i have ALWAYS sent people to Mike Norris and never a complaint, but he charges 450 for a mild cam and up to 600 for aggressive cams, he is in indy but makes trips to florida to tune people down there also.

i did the same thing last year it cost me 1500.and there was no possible way i could get away with the bore being taken to 4.005 and my cylinders still had the crosshatches in them with 19000 miles on it.
