TBSS with an LQ9 Swap
Hi guys,
I have a 2006 TBSS with a H/C/I LQ9 swapped into my truck. On the highway with A/C on its running around 200 degree, in traffic or idling with the A/C on I've seen the temps go up to 230. I'm running LS1 fans and I have completely removed the thermostat. I don't think I have a blown head gasket, I'm not seeing bubbling coolant in my radiator and I'm not seeing any in my oil. I'm also not seeing any coolant loss.
What are you coolant temps during normal driving? How about on the highway? How about heavy traffic with A/C on or idling with A/C on? Do you guys think that I may have air in the cooling system?
My bolt on TBSS/DD has a 160 T stat in it and it never sees past 190, in heavy traffic or highway. It still has the stock LS2 in it.
