Default Looking to do a 500RWHP N/A build

I am kinda new to all of this, I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6. Im looking to get 500RWHP. I currently have TSP 1 7/8 Longtubes, 3" TSP OR-Y, Corsa Catback, and an SLP air intake. I currently put down 336RWHP and 340RWTQ on the dyno. I want to do a badass build, im thinking MS4 cam, Yank4000 converter, and maybe trick flow heads and a fast 102 intake. what do you guys think? The car will also be needing a rebuild soon and i think im going with forged internals.

unless you're looking to do a LS3 swap or something, i think you'll get better help in the GEN III section

If you want 500rwhp out of a stock or near stock displacement ls1 it will require a ton of money and time and it still may not work. You are going to need a perfect setup to even come close to 500rwhp.

Gonna need a lot more than that, especially with a powersapping 4000 stall.

An M6 with a big cam, ported 102 and those heads will come close to your goal. An A4 with a big stall, heck to the no.

Agree with the above, 500rw on an ls1 is not really worth the effort IMO.

Friend's 02 SS, stock internals, donkey dick cam, fast 102, and "badass" trick flow heads through a M6.

Needs more cubes to think about getting 500whp.

No. Its been done before but, it takes the right combination of parts and the right dyno. I don't get why people are so obsessed with dyno #'s. I find it strange that a "donkey dick" cams power started to fall off before 6500. Usually a big cam will breath all the way up to 7k+

For exmaple.

My PatG Torque Cam breathes fine up at 6800. Power is still flat. Not a radical cam either.

And yeah, that build link is pretty much the 4th gen bible..
