ls3 dod help

I was under the impression that ls3 blocks weren't drilled for dod. The numbers on my block come back to a ls3\ls9 and it had flat top non valve relief pistons but the dod ports are drilled is this correct.?

I understand it that the DOD deal is signaled through sensors in the center cover. I believe you just disable the sensor input and change the center cover. I think there are a few threads you should search. Many have done this work. As far as being drilled I think the different center cover caps off whatever the block uses to feed the sensors.

Doesn't matter if its drilled or not the valley cover/lifters is what makes it dod or not. Ls3 valley cover has orings there to keep oil pressure from leaking out if it is drilled anyway.
