Knock sensor delimma

I kno a lot of people have swapped newer motors in their f-bodies and just tap the hole for the knock sensors to run the larger resonance type that came with the cars. Is there anyone who sells the resonance type sensors that fit the 8m hole? Can the 10m factory type be machined down to fit the 8m? Has anyone put in a flat type sensor in their car and used a adapter harness(racetronix makes on) and tuned it to work correctly?

It takes less time to drill and tap the 8mm threaded bosses out to 10mm to take LS1 sensors, than it did to type your question.

Well said LOL!

OP,

Yes it is very simple/quick to do. Get you a M10x1.5 tap and the corresponding drill bit and get after it. There are tons of pictures in here that show sizes/depth and what needs to be done.
