As I mentioned, mine is relocated. Capped off the front of one the rails/logs and ran a -8 line to the sensor from the other - of course the logs are connected like a fuel rail crossover in back.

Made a bracket and mounted it up front for accessibility.....

I am definitely in the process of figuring out the best heads/ cam to go with it....I am probably going to have to get someone with allot of experience to help me spec everything out to come up with the best combo...

LPE: Thanks for the picture. I will find a spot for it all once I get the mock up going...

I think most good heads Mast,WCCH or a good set of ported LS7 heads done by the right person is the way to go...Mainly get some good lightweight valves and etc..with a custom cam from Pat G....And you're good to go.

Yeah I am thinking Mast 305 black labels, or something equivalent....and getting a custom grind cam is definitely happening, just have to find the right person to spec it out...I also have to decide on lifters, and as of right now I am pretty set on stock ls7 rockers with the trunnion upgrade....but as of right now I am just researching and looking at other peoples builds to see what combos are working and what isn't....Thanks again for everyone's input..I really appreciate it!

Well check out the build in Camaro Performers: Bigger on the inside part 1 and 2 the engine may be a little large 468 but the heads (Mast) comb paired with Fast intake isn't in your ball park. One thing I do no is you've got your self a 750hp+ beast.

That's a pretty cool build...I like seeing builds like that, and seeing what all go into them! Thanks for the heads up on that one...Hopefully I will break 750hp

Ive got damn near every 408- 440 or larger engine build on file or mag, I got the same engine build as Hot Rod 498ci ls7 heads test (except its in SuperChevy) with Brodix ls7 & Mast 4500 intake.. with the 274cc port it made 799hp about the same as the TSP heads Mast still was overall winner. Here's my last one for you until later: LS7 Stroker Build - The Power Of 7 - Super Chevy Magazine. This one looks exactly like the 468 LS3 cylinder head comp. in Hot Rod mag. Except with TSP 285cc LS7 style heads they were able to keep up with the Mast 272cc LS3 head with 12 deg valve angle.

Power of 7 was a pretty good read....though they were basically comparing apples and oranges...stock ls3 head with a fast intake vs. CNC ported ls7 heads......at any rate still a good read! Thanks Lil John

I wanted you to compare the Mast headed 468 lsx build in Hot Rod LS 3 comparison. TSP LS7 285cc VS 272cc Mast LS3 12 degree heads both engines are basically the same yet runner design LS7/LS3 and runner size were different. The Mast heads were a lot smaller yet were just as powerful.
I just talked to Mars @ Tick he's one cool dude. The $$$$'s there so I will have my cam soon I'm hoping to eclipse 700fwhp with my setup.I wanted you to see how Mast generally Whoop's every other competitor, WCCH may be the best LS3/7 head guy's for porting and the different style rectangle port heads but LSW style 1 or 2 retro or Shaft mounted heads will set you back 3200 bare and Mast complete heads are 3200. Just something to think about.

I am definitely going to need a cam at some point...it is going to be a while before that though...I do have a question though....I have heard that you can run a bigger cam with the ITB intake and it will feel much milder street driving, etc....Is that true? I would love to have a fat nasty cam in it and still have nice street manners.

How fat and nasty? Mine mentioned earlier I would call fairly good size for a hyd....little tricky in lower rpms while in gear, but we're still tweaking some things. Small sacrifice for the end result.

As far as tuning goes, not sure how much light I can shed, but the guys that worked on mine fought it for awhile. The key is throttle body syncronizing. Once everything opens, closes at once, the rest is pretty straight forward. Driveability will require some work as well so get to know your tuner well....you guys will be riding together for awhile
Sounds like it was pretty much a bolt-on.

That does sound good....I really have no idea what the cam specs will be but I am thinking it will be a bit more chunky and choppy than that...

Flowtech Induction does my cams. All aspects of the engine and car can be taken into consideration. Ed is also a mast dealer and can set the heads up to match the cam so it is package.
