Default 4 inch stroke wet sump problems

why is it in a roadrace or circle track application there seems to be a consistent problem getting a wet sump system to live? if a guy stays with a stock stroke all seems ok. I have talked with a few guys who say to dry sump it and forget it. what is everyones experience on this

The stock stroke can work if the rpm is below 7000, but the additional stroke adds windage problems in the skirted block and normally comes with a bit more blow by. Your best bet is adding the dry sump into your plan if you will be using the car on track often. The factory LS7 style can be added on most any block and will work with the least amount of headache on install.
