piston and head cc's

Does anyone know the combustion chamber and piston cc's on a stock Lmg 5.3 motor?

What year? Pistons are flat tops (0cc) but heads differ I believe whether they are the old 5.3s or newer 799s.

I thought 5.3's were dish piston and 4.8's were flat top.

That's why I asked the guy what year, cuz they newer 5.3s come with 799 heads and flat top pistons.

It's an 09 truck and I believe it has the 799/243 casting heads on it, I checked the one day but I don't remember

So you should have 0cc pistons and 64.5cc heads.

shadyteddybear Mar 22, 2014 01:28 AM

Okay thanks! So the piston are 0cc flat top with valve reliefs?

Can someone help me select forged pistons for my engine? Iv looked on summit and I can get from -10cc to +6cc?

redtan Mar 23, 2014 06:36 PM

Well what compression do you want?

shadyteddybear May 5, 2014 09:55 PM

I would like to go with a lower compression, like a 8.5 or something close, for a turbo
