Default 6.0 or 6.2 or what size short block>?

The ole LS1 took a crap a few weeks ago, broke a rod, hydro locked.

I have done many searches but have not found what im looking for so i will make a new thread.

Weighing my options for my new build.
Parts i plan to keep and reuse
AFR225 heads milled to 59cc
Fast 102 with 92mm TB
Headers 1-3/4" for now, injectors, blah blah all that bolt on stuff.
Automatic Trans, will get converter redone to whatever it need to be when done
4.11 rear 9" 28" tire

Would i be best bang for my buck to freshen up a 6.0 and put my top end on it?
I though about trying to find a 6.2 shortblock but i am unsure if it would make more power than the 6.0 to justify the increased expense.
Also debated a 408-421 Stroker build with a 6.0 block but doubt i take that $3500-$4000 plunge right now.

What do you all think? The cam i have not is a 236/242 .615.615 111LSA which i believe would work very well in a 6.0 but i am also not against getting new cam from Tick or Tooley or Comp

Depending on how much $$ i have after all this i might get a n2o kit also

What size intake valve does the AFR 225 have?

The larger bore will be more beneficial if the valve is larger than 2.04"-2.05".

So a 2.08 valve is really shrouded in a 4" bore?

2.08 intake but i bent the originals and it now has 2.05 valves from Dart225's

Mamo told me a long time ago that he would send me the originals for free if i ever had the heads back off. so i guess if it will help i will contact him and put the bigger ones back in it.

No, not badly. At that diameter a larger bore would be beneficial.

There is a point where there will be diminishing returns from un-shrouding the valve as it is no longer shrouded.

Of course you can argue cubic inches, but the results will diminish as will anything else come a point.

I'd go with a 4.065"-4.070" bore and 2.08" intake valves for best results.

I like the 6.0, it hard to beat for the money. Also if you get an iron block its just about bullet proof.
