06 ls2 motor noise identification help

06 ls2 motor noise identification help looking to buy a 06 TBSS AWD. It has a pretty bad rattle but only on de-accel when you free rev it in park. seem louder when hot. Owner thinks its valve train related. Any common ls2 problem that would make a noise like that?
