Default LQ9 bore 4.040?

I have an LQ9 bored 4.030 and my engine builder said I need to bore it 4.040 because there is slight wall damage from the piston skirts due to overheating...

I am turbocharged with a rather large turbo charger - S480, what are your thoughts?

Some of them can be taken out to 4.065-4.070 range, so there's a chance you have that room also.

Only way to really know is to sonic check and see how much meat is left in the walls. Also how much boost and the type of driving you do will answer the question if you have enough buffer or not in the walls.

I wouldnt have a problem with it, but since your turbo'ing it have it sonic checked first for added safety measure.
