Default Opinions on the Comp 2130 LSK lobe for a street/weekend strip car.

Comp spec a cam for me using their 2130 LSK lobe. I'm a little concerned because on their catalog, they specifically state, "They are VERY hard on parts and not generally recommended in street applications!"

Anyone have experience with this lobe in a street car? Anything I should be concerned about?

Thanks

If it were me, I would go to Cam Motion. You can get a nice .650" lift lobe from them that is much easier on the valve train. With some of the cam testing that a few people have shared with me, the smoother lobes make more power anyway. Win-win.

I've just removed my LSK cam, broke Intake & Exhaust springs. I doubt there was 1500 miles on the springs.

Power wise, excellent, not bad as far as valve train noise.

The broken springs had me skeered.

Are you upgrading lifters, pushrods, and springs? How heavy are your valves?
