Question for the 6 bolt head guys what sort of tool setup did you use to torque the 6th stud in the lifter window?

It depends on the orientation; straight out you reduce the torque value but if you turn it 90 degrees, you keep the same value. When I bought them, they came with a formula to calculate how much to reduce the torque if used straight out. It's going to depend on its length.

Default Torque...

The inner and outer 8 mm studs don't require but 24 ft. lbs. of torque and a torq wrench is not as important as getting a wrench in there, I use a ratcheting wrench I milled the end so will fit between the block and the nut.

these nuts are tighten enough to keep the head from lifting between the studs.

Do not over tight them as this is not necessary, they sit in the outer edge of the head.

Their purpose is not to be part of the head torque but to keep the head from lifting.

Keep it 90 degrees for that adapter and torque to spec.

That will add a few extra lbs based on the formula but probably not enough to worry about I think it was 2lbs.
