Question Revised LSX block - How to distinguish from original version?

I apologize if this has been stated, but I'm wondering how to distinguish whether an LSX block is the original version, or the revised version. I'm not sure whether there is a different part number or what.. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

If you look at the deck you can see the large water passages around the head bolt bosses. This is the old block.

This one you can see the reinforcement in the middle of the water passages to support the cylinder wall better. This is the newer revised block.

So.....despite the smaller water passages, the new version is still good-to-go for a daily driven, performance build.....yes?

Yes it is a great block for street applications. The reinforcements in the water passages don't hinder cooling. The new LT1 and LT4 engines are designed that way as well.
