New Longblock being Stored
#2
I've had good luck just fogging the motor through the plugs with Kawaski 4 stroke jet ski fogging oil. It has great atomization. I'm sure some will just suggest WD-40. Since you have the cam in, I usually loosen the rockers to seal the combustion chambers.
If you want to be ****, try prelubing too. I prefer to use the smaller oil sensor port in the back of the intake. It may take a little longer, but you won't leave a big mess when removing lumber. line. This should also reduces the air let back into the system since its smaller and higher than the normal ports.

What he said.
If you want to get extra ****, bag it up, put a few desiccant baggies inside of the plastic with the engine, tape the openings shut. Wicks up any moisture.
Desiccant bags, Uline, grainger etc. all sell them.

I have used wd-40 in the past with poor results in KS humidity. I now use break-free clp. Its gun oil designed for the military to Clean, Lube, and Protect and won't dry out as fast as wd40. A couple squirts in each cylinder, rotate the crank a few times, install some dessicant, and bag it up.
