About to cam my 5.3. 2010 Silverado. Can I run around on the stock tuner until I can get my truck properly tuned? I have a diablo tuner that can tune out AFM/DOD. What would be the proper way to tune the truck after a cam swap. Thanks

The Diablo will not tune it right. It just eliminates features. A proper tune, either mail order or dyno, will do it. Whose 212/218 cam did you get? And what is the lift and LSA?

The proper was is to take it to a tuner and have them dyno and or street tune it while monitoring AF and knock

You can drive it gently without a tune, but like most things, just because you can doesn't mean you should. I would wait until you are prepared to get it tuned before you do the cam. If you go wide open without a tune it's gonna be really lean.
