PRC 227 vs. TFS 225 or AFR 230 v2
Anyone can attest to the power of the PRC 227 heads from Texas Speed. How much power would I be leaving behind if I put those heads on my Ls2 instead of the TFS 225. (Mods...G6x3 cam, Fast 102, OBX 1. 7/8 headers, C7 timing chain.)...

I tried prc and tfs and I would recommend getting as cast tfs 220cc with Brian Tooleys touches and also send him your fast 102mm for port matching.. the heads and intake with his work is very affordable.
With that being said, the PRC are still great heads and is going to be within 10hp of the BTR TFS 220 or the TEA TFS 225. I never tried AFR.

Hey Brain, this is Mahdi and I am glad you chimed in! The 500whp was on a Automatic 6L80E, 107 IAT Temp and 91 octane I am sure we can make 520whp on a 6 speed manual. Thanks again for the awesome work!

I personally would go with the PRC 227's or if you're on a budget, the PRC 225 AsCast heads on a stock LS2 bottom end vs the 237's etc due to the compression difference. The added compression from the 227's will out perform the 237's. Even though they have higher flow numbers they will be down on power due to the compression drop with their 68cc chambers and valve shrouding on a 4" bore. I have a hard time buying an expensive head to only have to have someone else touch them up to get the power that you want. You can do that with any head if you wish. I prefer a head that's ready to go out of the box.
