Lightbulb Anyone interested in LS2 part #s?

Camshaft part # 12574519
intake manfold 89017648
LS2 engine 89017654
intake valve 12563063 same as ls1
polished rear wheel 9594349
valve springs 12586484 same as ls6
They are not available yet but, are in the GM parts catalog.
its getting fun.
Did anyone else here know that a 05 GrandPrix was getting an LS4 5.3m.
I found out when I crossed over the ls2 cyl head # and, it is the same as the ls4.
Life around GM continues get more and more interesting.

Only time will tell. I'm still not sure if it'll fit on an LS1/6 block.

Thottle body and intake on the new LS2 improve intake flow 30% according to GM literature. The LS2 manifold is different and the TB is 90mm and drive-by-wire. To get the most from a swap, you will have to wait for a conversion or find out if the FAST 90mm TB works on the LS2 manifold.

What is the part number for the LS2 head?
Does it list the cam specs for the LS2 cam?

the ls2 manifold is designed for a 90mm tb if memory serves me correct, it is OEM grade, (aka, not cheap plastic like the LSX) and it should outflow the ls6, and lastly, it should be available for about $500 list, like the current intake prices.

just a few possible reasons to want one

Ryan.

Does anyone know what kind of set-up the LS2 intake uses for TB mounting?

I would be very shocked at 500 dollars.
You also have to remember that the cost when first released was closer to 575 for the normal joeblow.
Also they massed produced these even more so due to the fact that every Z06/ Z28/ SS/ TA/ Firehalk/ etc were using one.
Now you will only have the 2005 Corvette.
I have to believe the cost will be closer to 800 dollars just like the fast intake is. Also the TB will probally be in the 500 dollar range if I had to guess.
We will have to wait and see.

Actually the LS2 will be appearing in the 2005 Corvette, the 2005 GTO, the 2005 SSR, and there's another one that I don't recall.

Since the LS2 intake requires a 90mm tb, will it not be a good mod for a relatively stock ls1? 90m seems quite large to run on a basically stock motor.

People also said the exact same thing about running big cams in stock motors...

Any time frame on when these will be available to order or get information on? GMPD has none of these part numbers. Maybe someone from Scoggin Dickey will chime in.If not I'll try to call this week and see if they have any information.
